Artist's Statement:
"This piece is part of a series inspired by my (amazing, although
sometimes grueling) road trip from Ohio to sunny California. It
should be viewed with the perspective in mind of a Midwesterner
experiencing these places for the first time.
I have been greatly impressed -awed- by the Western landscape's
grandeur, texture and coloring. The subtle beauty of these locations
cannot be captured but this work is part of an effort to pay some
respects."
